Golden Eagle Checking
Available to ages 55 and over, the Golden Eagle checking account includes all the same benefits as No-Cost Checking, plus you get FREE standard checks for the life of your account.
Checkless Checking
Now you can get a simple checking account – without checks! Checkless Checking is perfect for anyone who wants checking convenience without the hassle of checks. With no qualifying and just a small starting deposit, you get easy access to your money using a First American Visa® Debit Card instead of checks. Withdraw cash from ATMs, make purchases at local retailers, and never worry about fees for insufficient funds.
Teen Checking
A great starter account with all the features of Checkless Checking, Teen Checking is available to members under 18, with a parent or guardian as a co-signer. Instead of checks, teens get their own Visa Debit Card to use for purchases and cash.

Courtesy Advance*
Overdraft Protection – what we call Courtesy Advance at First American – helps spare you from extra expense and embarrassment of returned checks and late fees if you ever happen to have insufficient funds in your checking account. There's no annual fee or sign-up cost to have Courtesy Advance, but you do need to tell us if you want it activated on your account. If you ever have occasion to use it, you'll only be charged our current NSF fee per overdraft transaction. Ask how you can include Courtesy Advance on your checking account to be sure you're covered for:
- Checks you write
- Automatic bill payments you've set up to be withdrawn from your checking account
- Cash withdrawals from an ATM
- One-time debit card purchases

VISA® Debit Card
Your First American VISA Debit Card takes the place of cash, checks and credit cards. Present it wherever VISA debit cards are accepted. It looks and handles like a credit card, but instead of advancing credit, it automatically withdraws funds from your First American Credit Union checking account. You can also use your VISA Debit Card to get cash back from supermarkets and other participating merchants, or at any ATM nationwide displaying one of these logos:
Verified by VISA® Identity Protection
Did you know? All First American VISA cards come with FREE Verified by VISA service. All you have to do is enroll your card, and choose a password. Anytime you use your VISA card to make a purchase online, you'll be asked to enter your personal password before the transaction can be completed. It's an added layer of protection so you can be sure that you're the only one who can use your card online.
